Nominations


  1. Consist of five (5) members elected by the DKG California Convention
  2. Perform the duties as stipulated in the Bylaws of DKG California, Article VI, Section C
  3. Provide guidance and assistance for Chapter nominations committees.
  4. One member of the Committee shall continue as chairman for the next biennium.
  5. Plan and coordinate, with the Executive Committee, the installation of incoming officers

Chapter: Beta Omega     Area: II                                     


Professionally, I taught 3-5 grade students for 28 years and worked as a BTSA Support Provider for 4 years.  After retiring I have continued to serve as a Support Provider and serve as a Clinical Supervisor for WGU.  At the Chapter level, I have served as Chapter President , Co-President, and Parliamentarian.  My Chi State involvement includes Area II Director, Executive Secretary, and now am serving on the Nominations Committee.  

Janice Allen

Professionally, I have been an 8th grade English teacher and a 2nd grade teacher. I served as the Elementary Director and then the President of San Jose Teachers Association. At the Chapter level, I have served as Newsletter Chair and President. My Chi State involvement includes serving as Area IV Director, Chi State Parliamentarian, and 2014 Chi State Convention Local Arrangements Chair. I am on the Nominations Committee for the 2015-2017 Biennium.


   


Carol Carlson

Chapter:  Gamma Upsilon               Area: XI

 

Professionally, most of my career was spent teaching upper elementary in LAUSD as well as training teachers for USC. I left the classroom to direct the district Osage Teacher Center.  At the Chapter level, I have held many offices and am again Chapter President for 2012-2014. My Chi State involvement includes holding five elective offices one of which was Chi State President. I also served on the Chi State Finance Committee.  In 2007, I was honored to receive the Distinguished Service to Chi State award. For International I was co-chair of the 1973 Southwest Regional Conference in San Francisco and at the 2007 International Convention, I served on the steering committee and organized the opening California Night program.  Early in my DKG life, I received the International Golden Gift award to attend the Leadership Seminar at the University of Illinois.


Pat Twyman

Chapter:  Beta Gamma          Area: XVII                 

 

Professionally, I worked as a nurse, taught nursing and was a nursing and allied health administrator. For my Chapter, I have served on many committees, been First Vice President and Chapter President. Currently, I am the Recording Secretary. My Chi State involvement includes being an Area Director and the member or chair of the following committees: Membership Committee Member,Expansion, Nominations, Convention Arrangements Chair -2001,Personal Growth and Services and Finance. I have also been Chi State First Vice President and President. For DKG International I have been a member of adhoc committees.

Professionally, I  was a music teacher for 15 years.  I have taught in the primary grades, mostly first and second for the last 21 years.      At the Chapter level, I have been 1st and 2nd Vice President, Corresponding Secretary and President. I have also been the Program Chair and Area Director for Area XV and  I have served as the Chi State Music Chairman for two biennia.
