  1. Review the Bylaws and Standing Rules of DKG California following the State Convention each year and bring them into compliance with official convention actions
  2. Review proposed amendments to the Bylaws and Standing Rules of DKG California for clarity and compliance with existing official documents
  3. Assure that proposed amendments are presented in a format that can be readily transferred to the appropriate document
  4. Review the Bylaws and Standing Rules of DKG California following each International Convention and update them in accordance with current International rulings
  5. Serve as DKG California Convention Resolutions Committee at Convention
  6. Serve as a resource to the Chapters in the preparation and biennial review of the Chapter Rules
  7. Submit revised copies of the DKG California Bylaws and Standing Rules to the International Constitution Committee Chairman
  8. Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the DKG California President

Chapter: Beta Delta        Area:  X                                                                                                                                                        

Professionally, I have taught grades 4-8th for 36 years.  Twenty-one of those years were in 6th grade, both at the elementary and middle school level. At the Chapter level, I have been Chapter President twice (a decade apart), First Vice President, Recording Secretary and Parliamentarian. My Chi State involvement includes serving as Area X Director, a member and chair of the Communications Committee, Nominations Committee, and on the Executive Committee three times as Executive Secretary, Corresponding Secretary and Parliamentarian. I have served DKG International as a member of the Steering Committee for the 2006 International Convention in San Diego.



Janet Lew

Chapter:  Alpha Chapter       Area:   XI          

Professionally, I have been a secondary educator for 24 years and administrator for 10 years in the Los Angeles Unified School District.  I earned a Doctorate in Education in Institutional Management from Pepperdine University.  I was initiated into Delta Kappa Gamma in 2010 and served in Alpha Chapter as President and Vice President.  At the Area level, I have been the Area XI Recording Secretary and recipient of the 2013 Area XI Golden Rose Award for Alpha Chapter.  My Chi State involvement includes being the Hospitality Chairperson for the 2013 Chi State Convention.  I was on the Chi State Leadership Team as a member of the Membership Committee, serving as the Recording Secretary and Membership Newsletter Editor.  Currently, I serve Chi State as a member of the Leadership Team on the Bylaws/Legislation Committee.


Marilyn Stalder-Burke
Chapter: Omicron   Area: XIII

Professionally, I was an educator for 33 years. 32 years were at John Muir High School in Pasadena. I was an English teacher, then Vice Principal of Instruction. I served as Department Chairman, GATE teacher, mentor, Advanced Placement Reader, curriculum writer, staff development presenter, and ETS coordinator. Served two terms as President of Omicron Chapter. At the Chi State level, I was the Area XIII Director, member/chairman of Bylaws, Membership, Ceremonies, Music, Scholarships, Finance, and Nominations Committees. I was a member of the Executive Committee as Recording Secretary, Executive Secretary, and as Chi State President 2009-2011. In 2004 I was selected to attend the Golden Gift Leadership Management Seminar in Austin, Texas, and the 2009 Delta Kappa Gamma Parliamentary Training.

Chapter: Iota Xi        Area:  XV

Professionally, I have taught for 19 years including 1st through 6th grades and been an elementary school administrator for 14 years.  At the chapter level,  I have been parliamentarian, treasurer, corresponding and recording secretary, 1st vice president as well as chapter president.  My ChiState involvement includes serving as the Area XV director, Leadership Development Committee, Nominations Committee and Nominations Chairperson.
