Professionally, I taught at the elementary school level for nearly 35 years, teaching preK and grades two through six in addition to serving as a mentor teacher, math strategy coach, teacher-in-residence, and teacher on special assignment. Having retired from K-12 teaching, I continue to be a professional development provider as well as work as a lecturer at UC Davis in the Math and Science Teaching Program. At the Chapter level, I have served as Chapter President, Co-President, First Vice and Second Presidents, Corresponding Secretary (twice), and have chaired and been a member of several committees. I have served as Program Chair at the Area level. At the State level I have served as Convention Registrar and as a member of the Leadership Development Committee.
